Well, I'm back!
I did well eating primarily raw and vegan.....until about the middle of March, when I was in town all the time, and in a gob of social/business situations.
Here I am now, a month later....feeling tubby, low on energy and with renewed resolve. What is it about us humans that we have to feel pain before we adjust our habits? Anyway, I started this cool Bible Study at www.settingcaptivesfree.com The whole idea is to feast it up with Jesus and crowd out your addictions. Sounds impossible, but the crazy thing is, that it works! We are all built with a God shaped vacuum, and we just cannot fill our spirit with food. Food is for nourishment to provide fuel so we can do all He has called us to. It can never truly fill us, never truly satisfy us. That being said, I derive great joy in planting, growing, harvesting and creating with REAL, ORGANIC food. It's just great fun. And the funny thing is, when was the last time you saw somebody overdose on broccoli? Spinach? Just does not happen. Know why? It's because when we get true nourishment, our cells send the signal, "You are done, now." There may be some exytotoxin in that Dairy Queen Blizzard that shuts down the satiety signal....My cells and yours scream out for the nutrients found in plant foods. Yum.
Out here on the farm, Spring is popping up all over with flowers, green leafies, radishes, onions, the good stuff.
Guess I'll go out and plant some cucumbers and butternut squash and marigolds. See ya next time!
